I usually don't promote friends clubs here since I'd be swamped with requests... but these guys just deserve it... the other day I got a letter (yea you know like in an envelope with stamps n all... remember that shit? no? ok I'm old) containing a little miniature figure and an invitation to the club MASH UP INTERNATIONAL... this is what I call decent promotion, sending the regulars little gifts every now n then... guys you rule... APPLAUXZE!!!!

I know a lot of talented artists in this town n I also know how hard they struggle with expensive galleries, commercial sell out n such... to put them in front of an audience n show off their skills "live" would change the agenda... giving ppl a chance to see art in action - not only as a result - could radically reform the approach... personally I was thrilled by the art battles I saw in NYC, amazed to see a piece being created from the first mark to the final highlights... I've always been into graffiti n street art, but these events gave the element a new context... indulging the irreversible process in every delicate line, accompanied by music n a concentrated crowd... wow I can't even explain... prodigious experience...

my mission is to finally put these color&contour underdogs in PROMINENT FOCUS n if everything works out it'll take place at a club I'm hosting this summer... if you're interested in taking part give me a call or throw me an email > emeliponten@email.com... financial support is of special interest since it's an impossible idea without the paperbenjaCROWNERZ...

p.s. a NY bound friend called me today complaining bout how boring Stockholm is and what could I say?? NUTHIN. but it has more to do with swedish lazyness than the club promoters... we've got some of the best DJs in the world visiting Stockholm but if they're not spinnin at some hot spot in the central parts of town then you can bet it's gonna me a lame ass party... not even a 4 minute train ride is acceptable... DJ Kazey (FRA) is one of the best b-more DJs I know of, so at the gig at Fabriken the other night you could've expected a crunked up club... but ppl were too lazy to get their asses out there... sucha shame... DO YUR CLUB HOMEWORK AAREADY!!!!
