some delicate words about the album...
"The entire album is about the power of the punani, if you will. The album follows the story line of my man Adam who passed away and basically how he died. It all started off with him catching a boner one morning, morning wood, and his life starts to spin out of control from there."
The story is told instrumentally, while the featured artists help get the story across. 88' has described that his inspiration for the project derived from the thought, "What gives me pleasure?" His obvious answer being...
"I thought, “What gives me pleasure?” So I thought, Polo clothes, blue label of course, give me pleasure, when I’m out coppin’. Making beats bring me pleasure. Money. I’m like, “Boom! I know what gives me pleasure! Pussy!” So as soon as that thought came into my head, I’m like, “Okay. I’m scrapping all the other beats I had made for my album so far, and I’m starting with this one. This is the first beat for my album.” And I just stayed on it."

Mannen som definitivt täcker pianots samtliga tangenter är snart på svensk mark och kommer inom kort släppa sitt debutalbum som vi väntat på i närmare två år. Han är inte ett namn som nötts så mycket i media ännu, men en veteran i ligan som levererat mängder av produktioner åt artister som Pharcyde, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Musiq, Busta Rhymes och Tanya Morgan.
88-Keys har i utvecklingen av nya albumet The Death of Adam inspirerats av "the va-g-jejj" och det är således en resa genom en hel del snusk men också sanslöst geniala produktioner. Hans singel "Stay Up Viagra" ft. Kanye West är ute, liksom ett "teaser mixtape" som finns att ladda hem gratis från hans myspace >> Adam's Case Files: THE MIXTAPE. Albumet planeras släppas den 28 oktober ft. Q-tip, Kid Cudi, J*Davey, Redman, Bilal, Phonte och inte minst 88-Keys själv, en av få beatproducenter som även behärskar rapkonsten. Associationer går naturligtvis till legenden J. Dilla, och kanske har vi äntligen funnit någon som kan föra facklan vidare på allvar. 88-Keys driver Decon Media, som släppt den belönade hiphopdokumentären "One Big Trip", liksom Decon Records där bl.a Aceyalone, The Alchemist, Dilated Peoples, Plantlife, Wax Tailor och Z-Trip finns representerade.
Efter laborativa uppvisningar på sin Ensoniq ASR-10 fick 88-Keys sitt namn av en imponerad Large Professor. "Love" från Mos Defs Black On Both Sides är producerad av 88-Keys och det säger mer än alla superlativ jag någonsin kan formulera. Det finns inga anledningar bra nog att missa en spelning med 88-Keys. Han är framtiden, historien och räddningen för dagens musikindustri. Kanye West råkar vara hans bästa vän och co-exekutiv producent för plattan, men frågan är om inte protegén redan överglänser mentorn.
